Social Media Coordinator (Full-Time, Remote)

We are looking for a Social Media Coordinator to boost our team's online presence on LinkedIn, as well as others such as X, Facebook, Instagram, and Slack, and through Hubspot newsletters. Reporting to the Director, Marketing, they'll assist other members of the team as needed. The role involves managing our social content calendar, writing and posting timely content, and evaluating campaign success. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about sustainability and community-building, adept at engaging with audiences, and vigilant about maintaining and elevating our brand voice. They should be detail-oriented, proactive in staying updated on social trends, and capable of both independent work and collaboration.

This is a great opportunity to manage and enhance the voice behind Canada’s largest cleantech and adoption accelerator, and promote the net zero transition online. Creativity, storytelling, and critical thinking are vital parts of the day-to-day responsibilities of this role.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and scheduling content to our social media channels using Hubspot
  • Reporting and analytics of social media post performance
  • Engaging with our community on social media
  • Reporting and analytics of website traffic and page performance
  • Supporting the Digital Marketing Manager with Google Adwords and paid social campaigns
  • Support the creation of newsletters using Hubspot
  • Supporting in the design of social media graphics and ad creatives using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Supporting the Communications Manager with content writing, including blog posts
  • Attending and supporting in-person events in the candidate’s area 2-3 times annually
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience managing a company’s social media channels
  • Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Knowledge of current cleantech and sustainability trends and audience engagement best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of Canva for graphic and video creation (additional graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite is an asset)
  • Working knowledge of Hubspot (or similar) and, Google Analytics
  • Previous experience managing company social media channels, including but not limited to writing and scheduling content
  • Knowledge of Google Adwords and SEO is a bonus

Job Type: Full-Time, Remote

Rate: $55,000 - $65,000 Base + benefits (key is best fit and experience for the role)
